Wehrlein confirms fitness for second Barcelona test

Pascal Wehrlein will drive in the second week of winter testing in Barcelona, confirm by Sauber today.

The German picked up an injury at the Race of Champions in January, held for the first time in Miami this year. Following the accident it ruled him out of the first last week, his place taken by Ferrari test driver Antonio Giovanazzi.

This will be the first time Wehrlein will have driven a fully spec’d 2017 car, having extensively tested the new tyres on behalf of Pirelli through the second half of last season.
