Tyre nominations for the German Grand Prix 2016

Pirelli announced the tyre nominations for the German Grand Prix today, the final race before the enforced Summer break after an intensive few weeks.

As the pattern has shown, many of the teams have favoured the softest tyre option, the supersoft tyre for the Hockenheim circuit. With the most popular options being one set of the medium, and either three or four sets of the soft and seven or eight sets of the supersoft.

Once again though Force India have taken a completely different route to the rest of the field. They are the only team to take more than one set of the medium tyres, settling on three for both drivers, with four sets of the soft and six of the supersoft. Ferrari again have an extra supersoft tyre over Mercedes taking from the soft allocation.
