Tyre compound allocations confirmed for Silverstone

Pirelli has revealed the latest allocation of tyre compounds, this time for the British Grand Prix due to take place in early July.

Announcing the allocation the standard eight weeks in advance for European races, Pirelli confirmed the high speed Silverstone circuit will receive tyres at the upper end of the range, with a number of high speed corners contributing to tyre wear.

One set each of the Hard and Medium tyres will be reserved for the race, while a set of the soft will be reserved for Q3. The remaining 10 sets are free for the teams to choose. These will be announced in the lead up to the event for each driver.
