Toro Rosso confirms 2016 car has passed crash testing

Toro Rosso have confirmed today that their new Ferrari powered 2016 car has passed crash testing and is now ready for Barcelona in two weeks time.

The team will retain highly rated pairing Max Verstappen and Carlos Sainz for the upcoming season, although they will be driving a Ferrari powered car for the first time. Toro Rosso have made the switch to Ferrari following the fall out with Red Bull last year, and will be running year old engines, the only team to do so on the grid.

It follows a number of other teams including Manor, Renault and Haas to have passed crash testing, which needs to be completed before a car can take to the track. Sauber will unveil their car at the second test.
