Three place grid penalty for Hulkenberg

Nico Hulkenberg has been handed a three place grid penalty for this weekends Chinese Grand Prix.

The penalty came after the German Force India driver caused a premature end to Q2, ruining the running at the end of the session for a number of drivers and stopping them improving, including that of Felipe Massa and the two McLaren drivers.

As Hulkenberg rounded turn 11, the front left tyre came loose and shortly afterwards came off the car, bounding down the road and hitting the barrier, thankfully missing a number of cars in the area.

Frowned upon by the stewards, he will take a three place grid drop to 13th tomorrow.
