Rosberg and Hamilton celebrate season with Mercedes staff in Germany

Newly crowned World Champion Nico Rosberg and teammate Lewis Hamilton visited the Mercedes base in Stuttgart, a now familiar end of season celebration for the German team.

With Rosberg retiring from Formula One, the sign off the season was even more significant just a number of days after winning his first World Championship title. In front of an estimated 17,000 employees of Mercedes, the star drivers did demonstration runs in their respective cars, signing autographs and a casual interview before fireworks.

The pair were in jovial mood, Lewis apologising for his lack of German, suggesting Rosberg could teach him: “I’m going to try a little bit of German… how do I say ‘I’m so happy to be here!?’, before complaining his arch rival for the last three seasons was misleading him, “Nico’s the worst German teacher, he tells me all the wrong words.”
