McLaren pass crash tests with 2017 car

McLaren has confirmed this afternoon they have passed all the tests for their 2017, clearance for which is needed before the car turns a wheel this season.

An announcement on Twitter from Sporting Director Eric Boullier said, ‘After a lot of hard work, I want to say thanks to those who helped us pass the FIA crash tests. Now to get it painted…!’

Following an announcement early in the month, McLaren is expected to be taking a non-traditional approach to their colour scheme this season, with elements of orange already shown on the preview material for the launch.

The launch of which will take place on Friday 24 February, just a few days before the first test in Barcelona.
