McLaren MCL32 takes to the track for the first time

The new McLaren MCL32 took to the track for the first time this morning, a day before official testing is due to take place in Barcelona.

Fernando Alonso got the first run in the new car, at what is officially called a ‘filming day’, but many teams elect to take one of these before the testing starts as a shakedown to make sure all the systems are working.

Stoffel Vandoorne takes over in the afternoon session, where it is a busy day in Barcelona with the final two car launches also expected this afternoon at the circuit.
