Lewis given paddock Snapchat video ban

Lewis Hamilton has been banned from filming Snapchat videos in the Formula One paddock by series boss Bernie Ecclestone.

The British driver who has a large following on Snapchat, following his life around the world in various cities including recently Toronto, Auckland, Los Angeles and Paris. It also was the catalyst for the critism in New Zealand for riding a motorbike whilst filming, but was left off by the police.

Broadcasters who have the rights to Formula One are the only people allowed to film within the circuit, something Romain Grosjean fell foul of during winter testing – with his series of Facebook videos over the last few months.

Many drivers have been looking at closer to their fans, both Lewis and Romain, along with Daniel Ricciardo who all have a large social media presence.
