Kevin Magnussen has been cleared by the FIA to race this weekend in Monza after his huge accident in Spa last weekend.
The Renault driver lost control of his car through Eau Rouge, hitting the wall heavily twice on the exit with such force that the headrest became detached. He walked away from the accident with just a bruised ankle and will have to race with their spare chassis this weekend after his one had considerable damage.
After the 42G accident, the Dane had a medical to prove his fitness to the FIA today, which he has passed and will take to the grid this weekend as expected.

He said in the Drivers Press Conference on Friday, “I have just relaxed. Nothing was broken, I wasn’t injured so just a bit sore in my body and I didn’t need to do anything special.
“No special treatments or anything. Yeah, just took a couple of days at home and ready for the next race.”
