Hamilton talks down 2017 sabbatical

Despite having a difficult start to the 2016 Championship defence, Lewis Hamilton has talked down suggestions he could sit out 2017.

Trying to get his current campaign back on track after a number of problems which have affected him so far this season, including that of his engine package unreliability which are yet to affect his teammate. Nico Rosberg has so far blitzed the season, winning every race in the process leaving him nearly two race wins ahead in the points.

“A year out? No way,” said the current World Champion. “Whoever wrote that was smoking something. Probably good stuff.”

Hamilton will start from pole position in Barcelona, ahead of Nico Rosberg and the Red Bull drivers of Daniel Riccairdo and Max Verstappen.
