Esteban Ocon to appear in FP1 for Renault

Renault reserve driver, Esteban Ocon will be driving for the team in the First Practice session at this weekends British Grand Prix.

The Frenchman, on loan from Mercedes joined the team at the start of the season and has already appearing in testing and at the Spanish Grand Prix in May. Next week during the ‘Silverstone Test’ he will drive both on Tuesday and Wednesday for Mercedes, with the team already using half their allotted time on ‘race drivers’.

It hasn’t been announced however which driver he will replace in FP1, but as it is Jolyon Palmers home race, you would have thought it would be Kevin Magnussen who will give way.
