Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya confirm Winter Testing dates

Following the news last week that testing will remain in Europe this winter, the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya has confirmed it will host both tests in 2017.

Now the home of winter testing, following the consolidation to two rather than three tests, Barcelona will see the launch of the new 2017 regulations. Having dropped the early test session in Jerez, and some teams vetoing going further afield, a compromise was sought with an early in-season test in Bahrain in addition to the now standard eight days of pre-season testing.

Testing will take place between February 27 – March 2, and March 7 – 10.

For those thinking of heading to Barcelona to see the cars in action, note the first week clashes with Mobile World Congress in Barcelona – the flights and hotel rates are expensive.
