Charles LeClerc in running for Sauber reserve role

Charles LeClerc is reported to be in line to be the reserve driver for Sauber this season, according to Autosport magazine.

The Ferrari Development Driver has been linked to the Swiss team who run the Italian marques engines, and loaned the team the services of Antonio Giovanazzi last week to cover for a absent Pascak Wehrlein.

Now driving in GP2, the current GP3 champion has also been at the other Ferrari engined team Haas last season, as well as testing for the main Ferrari team.

Any further injury for Wehrlein would leave the team exposed with no official driver announced.
